We are currently seeking to recruit a CNC Machinist to work within a precision manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Production Engineer you will be required to work independently and be able to problem solve.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows;
ØSet tool and jigs/fixtures (check M/C set up).
ØModify programs as required (offsets and parameters).
ØProgram components at machine as required.
ØDownload programs from master file server.
ØLoad raw material on machines and run programme.
ØAble to use micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions.
ØMaintain Machine Centre, to daily/weekly maintenance plan.
With an indentured apprenticeship, candidates must also possess a good understanding of general machining practices and be competent at reading and understanding engineering drawings. Knowledge of Mazak CNC machining equipment and Mazatrol programming would be an advantage but full training will be provided
This role essentially requires someone who is able to work with initiative, and also works well as part of a team. Candidates should also work well under pressure, be prepared to help others and possess good housekeeping skills. Some heavy lifting may be required. jobswales.co.uk - 10 months ago
