Department/Function Description:
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the capital and expense budget available to this department. The Sr. Project Manager works with key managers to understand their business and financial needs and with Sourcing to negotiate contracts/agreements with software, hardware and consulting vendors. Additional responsibilities will be to update project status in Artemis, communicate significant project status issues appropriately, work with the Director of Business Operations on a monthly basis on accruals and forecasting. The Sr. Project Manager is also responsible for procuring and managing the budget for professional fees based on the needs of the hiring managers. This role is very hands-on and the successful candidate will find no day looks the same. The ability to work across multiple departments and disciplines are crucial for success. Staffing, training, and working with the NI government will be part and parcel of this position.

Position Description: (day-to-day responsibilities and deliverables)

Review multiple bids and provide recommendations / direction with regard to vendors and purchsing decisions.

Collaborate with HR / PDOE and other senior stakeholders to develop and implement onboarding plans that accomodate the rapidly evolving business needs and the unique employement environment within Northern Ireland.

Define and develop local recruiting strategy and provide direction to mak program successful.

Revierw invoices for accuracy and seek resolution where discrepancies are found

Implement appropriate financial controls and reporting to effectively manage the complex financial environment of the Northern Ireland office due to it’s status as a CME Group subsidiary and government driven financial incentives.

Collaborate with HR / Recruiting to develop and refine the hiring process. Analyze recruiting data and seek opportunities to refine / improve overall process and provide recommendations.

Build and staff projects in A7 (Artemis project and time keeping system

Manage capital tracking sheet and report out metric on a monthly basis

Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and enter into purchasing system

Review monthly financial reporting and provide detailed activity notes for division level reporting

Develop monthly contingent labor report (consulting) reports and proactively manage the program

Develop month project reports / metrics for CMETS management team and extended management in Chicago

Track financial incentive plan and report out according to agreement with NI government. This includes but not limited to INI and DEL.

Develop local training program in conjunction with PDOE (professional development and organizational effectiveness) and drive overall program success. Analyze training and recruiting data and determine what is working, and what is not.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 1 – 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, 3 – 5 years in a broad range of business and project management roles. 1 – 2 years in developing offshore contingent labor strategies. Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with the ability to achieve goals by utilizing formal and informal organizational networks.

Preferred:
Post graduate degree. Experience working with NI government and/or government agencies
