Summary:
The Safety Officer reports to the management team and covers all issues relating to Safety, Health and the Environment, in particular but not limited to the follow areas.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Involved with the investigation, recording and reporting of work related accidents and incidents.

Carrying out workplace assessments for risk/impact/COSHH, including the control of ongoing periodic re-assessment of the companys undertakings and actions identified within this process.

Organisation of the companys SHEQ meeting including arranging and reporting accident/near miss/environmental incidents. This will include formal monitoring and progression of actions to ensure completion.

Liaison with both RoES and factory Management with regard to issues raised, guidance and reporting of unsafe practices and conditions.

Communication of Health, Safety and Environmental issues to employees as necessary, including H&S induction of all new employees.

COSHH Control - including the monitoring and assessment of substances and any requirements for segregation location, specific handling and storage requirements.

Administering the companys ISO9001 and 14001 quality and environmental systems

All company employees in the factory, offices and on all sites.

Requirements:
Proven experience in a H&S role within a manufacturing environment

NEBOSH certificate
