The Enterprise Architect will lead the development, maintenance, communication and implementation of the clients global technology strategy and architecture taking into account business strategy, industry direction, technology innovation and input from 3rd party delivery partners, across:
- business segments
- global technology domains
You will also influence senior stakeholders and be responsible for decisions which have an impact on the strategic direction of technology in the company, on projects and the IT delivery.
Some of the responsibilities of the role will include:
- To ensure joined-up global application, infrastructure, data or security architectures, along with associated roadmaps, are in place that supports the business and drives simplification.
- To ensure new systems development initiatives are globally aligned and converge to the strategic architecture.
Candidates will need to hit the ground running as architecture is a busy team and has a good balance of both business and strategic technical work. Communication skills are important and are rated highly as this role regularly interfaces with both execs and technical personnel in an off shore environment. You will be expected to manage programmes of work and be responsible for specific domains. Candidates must have experience in at least one of the following technologies at an architectural level:
- ecommerce (.net/java/struts framework)
- ESB/middleware (Tibco Business works)
- BPM (Tibco iProcess)
- Document management (Thunderhead)
- Business intelligence
- CRM
Financial services background is considered advantageous but is not a must-have.
