The ACE Auditor will be responsible for ensuring HP-ES (Enterprise Services) accounts and service delivery groups maintain compliance with enterprise processes, Clients, HP-ES policies and procedures and that all areas within HP-ES are fully aware of and maintain registers of risks for their respective areas. ACE has a specific responsibility for HP-ES activities where national information security restrictions apply. The ACE Auditor will be located at the HP Erskine Campus near Glasgow and responsible for the following activities:
Responsibilities:
Plan, conduct and oversee audit/compliance/risk management/maturity activities
Execute internal audits aligned to HP-ES Operational Audit and Assessment process
Act as a consultant to HP-ES internal and external clients on matters of internal control, maturity and risk management
Assist in externally run reviews conducted by clients, external auditors, regulatory bodies and other organisations as required
Maintain currency on models, laws regulatory requirements, methodologies and standards appropriate for HP-ES and our clients
Develop/manage ongoing reporting requirements for the auditing of HP-ES
Identify and analyse improvements to new or existing tools, processes, and procedures
Identify and evaluate the significant exposures or risks across functions, locations, accounts, processes, or other variables associated with HP-ES
Represent HP-ES control interests to clients and external parties by vetting all audit/compliance/risk management responses to clients and external parties to ensure appropriateness of responses
Perform formal or informal audits to make sure group or process is conforming to specified requirements or pre-determined criteria
Understand and apply quality principles that form the basis of accepted Management Systems
Interact with all levels of management, customers and peers regarding audit results and recommendations
Assist in ensuring appropriate awareness programs are in place and periodically conducted covering applicable Client and HP-ES policies, processes and methodologies
Apply accepted auditing processes and tools to assess the level of quality of products and processes to predefined criteria as provided by HP-ES Quality and HP-ES Security.
Qualifications
Essential skills:
Qualified Auditor with relevant practical experience of planning and conducting Business and Delivery Management System audits (preferably with a Lead Auditor qualification)
In-depth knowledge of
ISO 9001
and knowledge of ISO 20000, ISO 27001 and Project management methods
Familiarity with process improvement models such as COBIT, CMMI, ITIL and Six-Sigma
Confidence to deal with and interview business leaders during the audit program
Establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all organisational levels, internally and externally with strong influencing and negotiation skills
Proven ability to multi-task, work on projects/tasks concurrently and meet commitments
Analyse situations, draw conclusions and take or recommend appropriate actions
Must have good organisational and administrative skills to be able to deliver to audit programme targets and timelines
Excellent communication skills and excellent written and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise and make changes where necessary
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Must be available to travel when required (within the UK) to various sites
The successful applicant must be willing and eligible to successfully undergo UK Government Departments security clearance.
Desirable skills:
Relevant understanding of HP-ES UK Government accounts and knowledge of internal changes
Hold a Lead Auditor qualification
Have a good understanding of HP Enterprise Services business processes.
