The Business Support Unit is an AML/KYC support/control function within the Institutional Clients Group responsible for the preparation, development, due diligence and approval of the electronic Customer Acquisition Due Diligence (eCADD) and supporting appendices in partnership with Relationship Management and Compliance teams.

Job Background/context:
Every new and existing client of Citi's Institutional Clients Group is required to have an eCADD document before an account can be opened. The eCADD outlines important information about the customer.

There is a requirement to conduct research for company information from both internal and external sources, documenting specifics required to satisfy regulations. There are differing requirements depending on where the account is being opened. There is a constant need for eCADD review as there are periodic renewals of the required due diligence carried out based on the risk of the client.

The BSU owns the end to end KYC process from creation/renewal to approval of the eCADD and supporting local country appendices.

Key Responsibilities:
Proactive identification and analysis of potential risk and control gaps plus definition and implementation of solutions for the department. This will include having a direct input into reengineering processes to increase the level of control within Department.

Acting as a point of contact for the department in relation to Citi Policies and Standards including but not limited to Operational Risk, RCSA, KRI's, Caps.

Engaging and working with the Program coordinators of Fraud, IS, CoB, Records management and other general controls for the department.

Co-ordinating, monitoring, reviewing & reporting of the Operational Risk for department including but not limited to RCSA, Caps, Statement of Accountability etc..

Management of Inter Company Services Agreements and Performance Level Standards for each country

Coordinating semi annual service level calls with countries

Assist with all aspects of ARR and Regulatory review preparation and readiness including specific process reviews as required. This includes the provision of business monitoring deliverables to audit and responding to ad hoc queries from OCC, Financial Regulator and ARR.

Delivering Risk and Control Training and presentations to new & existing employees.

Co-ordinate local BSU quality programme

Responsible for coordinating CADD BSU peer reviews

Ensure Departmental operational standards remain current

Partner with in-country compliance to ensure that local regulatory cadd requirements remain current

Responsible for tracking and reporting departmental risk via monthly heat map.

Maintain department controls calendar - keeping Department manager current of all upcoming deliverables.

Performing ad hoc control activities.

Undertake other assigned projects as requested

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:
+5 years experience in banking, finance or law

Experience in control/risk or Compliance (AML/KYC) function

Knowledge and experience of KYC / AML risk mitigation strategies (an advantage)

Knowledge and experience of the technologies and processes used in Citi

Audit experience (an advantage)

Skills:
Proficient use of Microsoft Applications ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)

Qualifications:
University degree in Law, Business/Finance, Math, Economics.
