Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to work with Prof. Ian Galbraith and Dr Martin Paterson on an EPSRC-funded project exploring the influence of excited states in the behaviour of organic optoelectronic devices. This post is part of a larger collaborative effort with experimental colleagues at the Organic Semiconductor Centre at St Andrews University.
The role will involve developing a theoretical understanding of the key excited state processes which affect organic optoelectronic materials and their influence on potential device performance. It will combine a state-of-the-art blend of quantum chemistry, nonlinear optics and materials modeling.
The position is available from 1st July 2012 for 2 years, in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for up to 1½ further years.
