Job Profile
As a systems engineer you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting company and client systems, OS and hardware. Ideally, you should be able to work both within a team environment and independently given some direction.
In this role you will triage and troubleshoot escalations from EMS/NOC regarding client and company systems. You will maintain customer and company systems within scheduled maintenance windows. You will build and deploy servers and all other related technologies remotely and in person, in data centre environments. You will be responsible for documenting procedures related to the operation and troubleshooting all systems and technologies. You will perform root cause analysis on outages related to system issues. You will also project manage new deployments, including documentation of Run Books and operational readiness documents.
This role includes weekend on call duties to cover escalation, from Saturday morning to Sunday evening. This duty is shared on a rotating basis between all team members. You will be required to work periodic shift rotation to cover alternative work hours (US shift hours 2pm – 11pm).

Essential Criteria
- 3+ years experience as a Change Analyst, Project Management Office, or equivalent role
- Hands on experience in managing IT changes in a large and complex organisation
- ITIL - Foundation certification v3 and knowledge of Service Management principles outside of change management (particularly Incident, Problem, Configuration and Release Management)
- Good/broad understanding of technology and ability to communicate this to all levels within the organisation
- Process oriented individual, structured approach to work and excellent at problem solving
- Degree educated in a mathematical or technical subject, or equivalent experience
