The Job
Systems Engineer – Land Systems Architecture

This organisation is a leading innovator of their chosen sector and is located in very easy reach of the M2. They hold an outstanding history in the design and development of electronic systems for the armed forces.

Responsibilities for this military land vehicles Systems Engineer role

Provide advice on and assessment of survivability systems and electronic architectures for land based platforms.

Provide systems architecture advice and consultancy to internal and external customers and stakeholders.

To represent the company and provide advice to working groups, standards committees and participate in international collaboration.

To attend field trials and equipment demonstrations.

To technically advise and lead research activities.

To perform technology watching and horizon scanning to support knowledge and capability development.

To develop and strengthen linkages with industry and academia.

To address a range of systems and integration aspects of technology exploitation.

Requirements for this military land vehicles Systems Engineer role

An experienced engineer or applied scientist with a record of end-to-end programme delivery

Demonstrable systems engineering and knowledge of vehicle systems architectures, real time software and interoperability.

Experience of working flexibly in a team with the ability to travel

The ability to professionally interact with a broad range of civilian and military stakeholders and customers.

Evidence of good communication skills, including written, oral and presentational

Flexible with locations as this role has a possibility of moving along the South Coast

This role would suit ex-forces personnel or candidates with a good background in the defence sector

Due to the nature of the work at this site, applicants must be capable of achieving SC level UK security clearance. Current clearance is not a requirement.
