About the Logistics Specialist Position The Logistics Specialist is responsible for management of logistics for Helix Subsea Construction and Well Operations fleet of vessels. Duties are as follows: Management and coordination of logistics operations for Helix Subsea Construction, Helix Producer 1, and Well Operations fleet of vessels. Aligning logistics strategies with the operational needs of Helix’s assets and business units. Sourcing and negotiation of contracts for third-party support contracts, including third-party supply vessels, tugs, barges, and helicopters, if assigned.

Development of logistics infrastructure for new markets such as India or Australia, if assigned. Sourcing and procurement of marine fuels and lubes, if assigned. Generate PO for goods and services provided by logistics to our internal customers. Invoice reconciliation to ensure on-time supplier payment.

Cost savings. Logistics process design and improvement. Supplier performance and relationship management. Complete other duties and/or projects as required and assigned by management.

Experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Supply Chain / Logistics Management / Engineering or Business. Four ormore years experience in procurement/supply chain of technical materials, equipment and services, with a preference for experience in oil and gas, marine industry, or airlines. Extensive negotiation, communication, organization and leadership -contract negotiation skills required; proven track record of cost savings is a must.
