Purpose of Role: To support the finance team in month end tasks, in order that deadlines are achieved in line with Corporate expectation. To assist with the integration of new team members by picking up tasks as work is reassigned within the team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The month end tasks will mainly be centred around running reports, and entering journals to assist the rest of the team as they process their work. Some reconcilations will be required, and analysis of under/overspends will need to be investigated to ensure accurate reporting.
Ad hoc business partnering
This work will change as tasks are re-assigned amongst the permanent team members. Examples will include cash forecasting, collating credit card expense submissions, investigating purchase invoice discrepancies with the purchasing department, assisting the FC and FD with adhoc project work.
Education and Training
Minimum of 3 GSCE’s including maths and English
Part qualified at either CIMA, ACCA or ACA level.
At least 2 years experience in a finance function.
