Following the successful organisational merger of a range of PCT provider services under the Transforming Community Services Programme, Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust was established in April 2011 and has now started its journey to receive NHS Foundation Trust status by April 2013.
With a turnover of £160m and 4000 staff, the Trust delivers a wide range of community based healthcare services across five boroughs in the northwest of England and specialist community dental services through a network covering eight PCT areas. Bringing each of these community providers into one single trust will provide a platform for transformation of services.
