This established Gastro style Pub and Restaurant based close to Melton Mowbray are currently seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the brigade. Having been awarded The Michelin Bib Gourmand, Good Pub Guide and Michelin Pub Guide every year since 2003, the standards are incredibly high and any candidate will be expected to gain further accolades in the future.
The ideal candidate will have a real passion for high quality, local produce. Many of the ingredients come from local farmers, bakers and allotment holders meaning that all of the produce is of the highest quality and as fresh as possible. As well as an A La Carte menu the Head Chef will also be responsible for developing a daily specials board again focusing on local ingredients that are available on a daily basis. This ensures that the menu is always using the best of the season’s ingredients.
The Head Chef will also lead, manage and develop a passionate and enthusiastic team with the support of the Executive Head Chef. As well as ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen during service you will also be responsible for ordering stock, working with suppliers and considering margins.
