Casual F&B Associates (Banqueting)

The Chancery Court Hotel is now recruiting for Casual F&B Associates in Banqueting for the Games period. This will be a very exciting and busy time for the hotel and successful candidates will gain invaluable experience within one of London ’s top 5 star hotels.
The Role
The successful candidates will be required to undertake a variety of duties, including:
To ensure that food and drinks are served in a consistent manner, in line with requirements set out by BEOs, standard presentation, LSOP's, training manuals and garnishes etc. Ensuring that service stations are prepared stocked and ready for service. To ‘clean as you go’ to ensure a clean and tidy work area. To maintain maximum levels of cleanliness, ensuring that safety for all furniture, fixtures and fittings is taken into account. To ensure that the guest's bill is recorded accurately, and presented properly and efficiently. To ensure that payment is received from all guests, if charged, that their names and room numbers are clearly indicated on the bill and that the bill is settled at the end of the meal. To recommend and ‘sell’ to guests through menu knowledge, using suggestive and up-selling techniques. To ensure that all food and beverage products are correctly stored, dated, labelled and rotated where necessary. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, and meet hotel grooming and uniform standards. To ensure that all breakage’s are kept to a bare minimum. Once breakages occur make certain they correctly logged on the breakage sheet in the kitchen. To adhere to the Licensing Laws and Weights and Measure Acts. To follow service excellence standards at all times. To carryout any other duty/function that may be assigned by the immediate Manager. This position is due to start mid July and will run through until late August, with the possibility of the position being extended until the end of the Paralympics in September.
The Casual Associates
The ideal applicants will have previous F&B experience within a 4/5 star hotel environment preferably within banqueting, an excellent command of the English language, and in particular a passion for providing 5 star customer service. Candidates with experience in other 5 star establishments will also be considered. Efficiency, great eye for detail and impeccable grooming will all be necessary attributes for the role.
The Benefits
All Casual Associates will be paid a competitive hourly rate and will potentially receive up to or in excess of 40 hours per week. Shifts will vary according to business needs, over 7 days a week, including weekends.
