Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Nuclear, Defence
The Business Development Manager will have a proven track record within a similar environment (nuclear sector), and will have the right attributes to grow existing accounts and to build relationships with new contacts. Other attributes that the Business Development Manager will possess will include:
- Degree/HNC/HND in a Engineering, Scientific or Commercial discipline
- Full UK driving license
- Flexibility to travel (nationally and internationally)
- Current SC/DV level security clearance is preferred, although not essential. However, all candidates MUST be eligible for clearance
- Nuclear sector experience preferred, although candidates from a Defense background will possibly be considered
The main responsibilities for the Business Development Manager will include:
- Relationship building with new and existing clients
- Develop opportunities from the prospect stage, via pre-qualifications and tenders, to successful contract award, project execution and satisfied customers
- Work with Bid Managers and Operations staff in making bid/no-bid decisions and prepare detailed strategies for tenders and contribute to tender preparation. Understand and be familiar with competitors and key suppliers
- Maintain knowledge of clients intentions, programmes and budgets to assist in the Companys forward planning
- Manage development activities to make effective use of the marketing budget
- Ensure adherence to pre-agreed strategies, and ensure that costs put forward by operational departments are reasonable and approved for use
Being a nuclear specialist, which operates a 360 degree cycle from new build through to final decommissioning, my client requires a Business Development Manager with similar experience to manage existing accounts and to develop new business opportunities.
