To provide a professional, comprehensive HR advisory service to defined business areas in order to support line managers in all HR matters.
Accountabilities & Deliverables
New Projects and New Business
To provide support for major business initiatives e.g. redundancy exercises, new business etc.
To contribute to Company wide HR projects.
To contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures.
To contribute to the management of change in line with business goals and business development strategy.
To develop effective professional relationships with managers in order to work in partnership to meet needs of the business
Operational HR
To develop effective professional relationships with managers in order to work in partnership to meet needs of the business
To provide proactive HR advice and guidance to line managers and staff in dedicated areas, including, discipline, grievance, performance management, sickness, special leave, performance reviews and remuneration issues
To interpret and apply HR policies and ensure these are understood and followed within own business area
To identify when specialist/senior intervention is required and involve the appropriate experts
To work proactively within own area, supporting managers in addressing issues of morale, motivation and retention
To guide and assist line managers in managing and developing the careers of their staff, liasing with L&D to resource training needs
To contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures
To assist line managers in identifying vacancies in accordance with business needs. To provide the necessary selection expertise, to ensure these are effectively filled
To ensure the effective administration and organisation of staff movements, working with the HR Assistants and other HR team members as required.
To contribute to HR projects and special initiatives outside own area, working under the guidance of HR policy specialists
To undertake specific research and compile management information reports as required

Entry Criteria
CIPD qualified
Proven generalist experience operating at Advisor level
General employment legislation
Company’s business strategies and objectives
PC related software and HR Information Systems
Previous experience of advising managers and staff on full range of HR issues
Previous experience of report writing and policy development
British Psychological Society Level 1 (Testing qualification) (preferred)
Willing and able to travel to other work locations as required
Previous experience of working within a new business and project based role.
