Fugro Subsea Services are providers of professional, cost-effective solutions to ROV requirements and specialize in ROV Drill Support, IRM, Tooling and Construction Support. Subsea Engineering position This is an onshore positon based in our Aberdeen office reporting to the Senior Design Engineer. Job Scope: To assist the Senior Design Engineer in the design of tooling for a wide variety of subsea projects. Assist in the management of the Intervention tooling dept on a daily basis and during the Senior Design Engineers absence.
Main Role: Assist Project Managers with engineering and support projects. To attend SIT’s and prepare reports. Responsible for the design of ROV Intervention Tooling, under the supervision of the Senior Design Engineer. Responsible for the maintenance and operation of ROV Intervention Tooling.
Maintaining tooling and develop maintenance plans/schedules for Intervention Tooling. Responsible for maintaining the Tool Development Plan Register and Drawing Register. Provide technical support and advice to offshore tooling personnel when required. Select and liaise with essential sub-contractors.
Responsible for developing procedures for specific jobs as required, always in accordance with the company Quality and Safety Procedures. position requirements ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Qualification in Bsc / Msc Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Understanding of QHSE polices and practices. As well as in accordance with Fugro Subsea Services Limited QHSE and procedures.
Designing experience. Computer literate in 3D CAD packages i.e. Inventor / Solid Works Knowledge of budgets and costs. Regulatory requirements and standards compliance.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS ROV Intervention or Subsea Engineering Tooling experience / knowledge. 3DS MAX Vault PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Good problem solving skills. Good communication ability, written and verbal. Able to work as part of a team.
Occasional offshore for client liaising and site visits.
