The post is designed to enhance European Operations ability to introduce new products in a timely manner whilst maximizing the opportunity to ensure process capability and best possible design for manufacture. Whilst acting as a focal point at U79 for the E&D and Global teams, the responsibilities of the role are centered on energetically ensuring key deliverables are met as follows:
Key Deliverables:
- Development and implementation of a Service Level Agreement for European Operations
- Project plan and agreed timescales are met
- Design for manufacture issues are fed back and followed up on
- Product yields and process accuracy targets are met within agreed timescales
- Product and project requirements are communicated to the relevant areas of manufacturing
- Training requirements are met
- Process matured to expected timescales and ready for volume manufacture
Job Requirements
Competency & Knowledge:
- Well organised and a capable report writer.
- Ability to understand NPI reports and take appropriate action.
- Able to talk to a multidisciplinary team, define actions and follow up.
- A working knowledge of at least one production process or planning discipline is desirable
Education & Qualifications:
An Operations Management qualification (IOM Diploma) or HNC in Electronics or similar, together with a high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential. The individual should also be IT literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and Word.
Personal Qualities:
Candidates should be energetic, self-motivated, have strong influencing skills and should display a high level of competence in written and verbal communication. An innovative problem solver who can also listen to a range of ideas, respond to challenges and adapt plans accordingly.
