We are looking for talented Graduates to join BAE Systems Detica’s new Cyber Security Business Unit (BU). The Cyber Security BU supports our clients to identify, understand and mitigate the threats and challenges presented by the increasing importance of the cyberspace domain. Projects within the Cyber Security BU require input from a broad range of skills, from application development to forensic analysis, from information assurance to business analysis. We are looking for self-starting, well-motivated and innovative individuals to join our growing team. If you have a strong understanding of technology, a willingness to learn and first class communication skills there could be a role for you.

What you will be doing

Usually working as part of a larger team you will be involved in projects focussed on identifying vulnerabilities and enhancing the security of our customers’ systems, networks and communications. You will do this by using innovative technical solutions and consultancy expertise. As a Consultant you may be involved in engagements that require us to provide independent advice, undertake research, improve client technology or provide cyber security capabilities and expertise.

Initially, your career will include learning about cyber security, be that technical aspects such as information assurance, business aspects like risk management or both. This will be in conjunction with building your consulting, people, presentation, and project management skills. This coupled with exposure to a large number of projects and clients will give you a taster of many of the areas in which we operate so you can develop your career in the direction that interests you, or focus on the specialism you want to achieve.

We have a full Learning & Development programme, so we’ll support you all the way.

This role will be based in Guildford, London or Cheltenham

What we are looking for

We are looking for talented graduates with the following skills:

Minimum of a 2:1 degree (in an appropriate technical or numerate degree)
At least 3 A levels at grades A and B (equating to 320 UCAS points) or equivalent, as well as strong GCSE’s including A’s or B’s in English and Maths
High level of numeracy and literacy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self motivated with ability to work on your own initiative
Effective problem solving and organisation skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Able to work flexible hours as required and be prepared to travel throughout the UK
Passionate about business and technology

Desirable:
Previous work / placement experience in a technical or consulting environment

N.B. Only those with the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK will be considered for a position at Detica. SC Clearance must be obtained prior to starting with us.
