Located in L'Derry, Northern Ireland, Seagate's Springtown facility employs over 1,300 people involved in the development and manufacture of recording heads, which write information onto and read information from the recording disc inside a computer's hard drive.

Storage Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of mission critical Storage Infrastructure to support the Springtown facility.
Joining an established team you will be responsible for implementing solutions to meet the changing storage needs of the Springtown site. Developing your expertise across EMC and NetApp storage technology you will be responsible for the implementation, expansion and management of storage for both database and unstructured data within a 24x7 manufacturing operation.
In this role supporting the factory-critical Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage you will also be responsible for managing strategic programs to meet the changing storage needs of the site.
Applicants must possess at least a 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline combined with at least one year's relevant experience.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas: EMC VMAX and NAS Gateways, NetApp MetroCluster, Brocade Switches.
