Opportunity to join a leading Oil and Gas operator as Completions/ Well Test Engineer on an initial 12 month contract. The role will be supporting the Uganda operation as well as the London based G and G team.

Main responsibilities include :
Â

• Conduct offset reviews and engineering studies to determine optimum completions engineering approach for well construction projects
• Assist in the development of Conceptual Completion Designs and subsequently Basis of Well Designs for new wells projects
• Preparation of the design documentation including inputs to Field Development Plans, Project Sanction Papers etc
• Proactive coordination of interfaces with other functions both within the  project teams and externally
• Coordinate and document risk assessment sessions throughout well planning process, and manage closeout of actions working closely and in collaboration with G&G and Development Teams
• Input to the design and planning process within Eikos and follow the wells delivery process.
• Assist cost engineers/trainees in the preparation of cost estimates, budget, detailed AFEs at all levels.
• Provide technical inputs to C&P for the tender documents of service contracts and for LLIs in a timely manner with correct specs to deliver agreed concepts.
• Provide engineering peer support to the design and planning process, and also in daily operations matters where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:
Â

• 8+ years of Petroleum experience (Completion and Well test engineering experience essential, but also knowledge of production and geology)
• Knowledge of industry normal practices associated with testing, work-over, wire-line and completion operations.
• Experience with artificial lift (PCP and ESP) completions and current downhole sand control solutions.
• Understanding of well control techniques and tubing and casing design.
• The engineering criteria associated with completion, testing and production operations.
• Recognition of importance of EH&S and embedding good practices.
• Familiar with API & other recognized industry standards & recommended practices.
