LOWER GI NURSE SPECIALIST/NURSE ENDOSCOPIST
MEDICAL DIVISION
£30,460 - £40,157 per annum (AfC band 7)
37.5 hours per week - Permanent
NB: New starters to the NHS or those with over 12 months break in service at the date of appointment will commence on the minimum of the payscale
This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to improve patient experience and quality of care through their intervention of providing one to one education for patients with lower gastro intestinal problems. You will provide an autonomous diagnostic service as a nurse endoscopist whilst providing management and treatment to help the individual reduce their long term health care risk.
For this role you will be a first level registered nurse educated to Masters level or equivalent. You will have a minimum of five years post registration experience, two years minimum at band 6 or above in this specialty and a willingness to develop competencies in upper endoscopy.
With effective knowledge of research methodology, you will have demonstrable experience of teaching/assessing and evidence of recent study or on-going development.
With the ability to manage personal emotions and stress, you will be well motivated and able to motivate others. You will also have excellent communication/interpersonal, decision making and team working skills.
