A vacancy will arise later this year for a
General Manager.
The Lamp of Lothian Trust is a key charity (estd 1967, SCO 15250) in the cultural and community life of East Lothian. It has restored and extended a group of listed buildings in Haddington to provide accommodation for a wide range of community users.
Also it promotes the rapidly growing Lammermuir Festival which offers high-quality music in venues across the county.
The General Manager is pivotal in all aspects of the Trust's work including property maintenance, secretariat to the Board, health & safety, liasing with user groups as well as assisting the Trustees in organising other community initiatives.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and fundraising skills are essential, as is computer literacy. A familiarity with charity governance and partnership working would be helpful. The General Manager has administrative support available.
Working hours are flexible although occasional evening work is necessary.
May suit job-share. Salary: SJC Principal Officer scale 35-36 (pro rata).
