POSITION PURPOSE STATEMENT:
This position reports to the Engineering Developments Manager and would be responsible for front end study work requirements supporting both Subsea 7 frame agreement clients and general client group front end work. Senior Development Engineers responsibilities include delivery of pre-concept/select work packages for frame agreement clients and ad hock studies.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This would involve client liaison, study work scoping, preparation and approval of CTRs and study schedules as well as client and management progress briefing across all study activities.
Resource Management would be a responsibility and establishment and maintenance of good working relationships within the Subsea 7 central engineering teams, vessel support teams and other departments as well as key external engineering consultants.
The Senior Developments Engineer would be responsible for establishing and maintaining processes and procedures commensurate with a high functioning studies consultancy service in pre-concept through to FEED activities.
The Senior Developments Engineer would be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of work within the agreed budget.

It would be preferred for candidate to be degree qualified in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or similar. If candidates are not degree qualified they would have to be suitably experienced in a similar role.

Skills
Technical (including IT):
Subsea Pipelines design experience is essential
Knowledge of subsea field layout and development is essential
Subsea Conceptual and Front End Design experience is desirable
Knowledge of SAP and Engineering Software Packages is desirable

Ability to present self in professional manner appropriate to the role is essential
It is essential that the candidate should have good communication skills with personnel at all levels

A good understanding of Project Governance Systems appropriate with Front-End engineering is essential
