At Amazon, our Operations function is at the heart of the customer experience. Delivering thousands of products to hundreds of countries worldwide every day, our teams blend a huge range of skills and experience. Join us in our Swansea Fulfilment Centre and it could be just the start of an amazing adventure with Amazon. It's a huge operation in its own right - with the challenges and opportunities to match. And the scale and scope of the business presents big possibilities for those prepared to consider opportunities a little further afield.
About the role
In this role you'll be responsible for one of our core functions - inventory, picking, packing, shipping or receiving. It'll be down to you to get the most out of your team and keep everything running like clockwork. You'll focus on achieving the highest standards of productivity, quality and efficiency as well as looking after our stock accuracy targets, process evaluations, and health and safety management.
You'll be leading a large team, motivating and developing them, and giving individuals the direction they need to shine. You should be just as committed to your own development too - we're looking for people who'll relish the huge opportunities for growth and progression that are there for the taking in a company like ours.
About you
You'll already have plenty of team leadership experience in a similarly fast-paced logistics, distribution, manufacturing or engineering environment. Because this is a very complex operation, a degree in a science or logistics-based discipline would be a benefit; if you're a Six Sigma Green or Operational Black Belt, so much the better. Either way, you'll need to bring excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and top-notch analytical and problem solving abilities. You know how to motivate, inspire and develop others and you'll always be looking for ways that we can make our processes even better. There is plenty of opportunity for future promotion and career development and as such, we're ideally looking for candidates who are open to relocation.
