TJ 2594) Neat / Port Talbot Up to £32K Our clients are an international company, renowned for t h e provision of state of t h e art products to t h e oil and gas, nuclear, processing, c h emical, mining and aerospace industries. T h ey currently h ave an opportunity for an experienced Mec h anical Design Engineer
Main Duties · Produce mec h anical designs to customer requirements using h and calculations to standards / codes, FEA design and 3D solid modeling

• Initiate and develop feasible, cost effective and reliable mec h anical designs from concept t h roug h to production.
• Participate and contribute to design and feasibility reviews wit h customers, suppliers and t h e internal departments
• Provide ongoing support for current engineering projects and produce regular progress reports
• Proactively identify potential problems / implement corrective actions
• Produce regular performance records for t h e Engineering Manager.
• Assist t h e department wit h product testing and R&D activities.

Candidate Requirements · Degree in Mec h anical Engineering (or equivalent).

• Experience of working in a progressive manufacturing/engineering environment wit h in a design capacity
• Practical use of FEA stress analysis a distinct advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years 3D CAD experience, ideally solidworks
• Must be bot h external and internal customer focused and an excellent communicator
• Able to fully participate in cross-functional project teams
