Requirements: Title: Drug Safety Officer
Location: Essex
Job Accountabilities:
To be part of a team providing an effective and proficient drug safety and medical information service to support the medical and commercial activities of the Client.
Job Content:
Processing cases
Responsible for logging Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) onto the Company Pharmacovigilance database from all sources, processing of cases as level of experience determines and coordinating follow-up of ICSRs and arrangement of translation of literature articles when necessary.
Medical Information
Take receipt of Medical Information (MI) enquiries as necessary. Respond to questions as appropriate and elevate the more in-depth enquiries to senior MI Personnel.
Pharmacovigilance records.
Keep records of all activities, documented according to local procedures.
Ensure all documentation is maintained as required, and advise Medical Services Manager of the need for revision of any SOPs or other departmental documentation.
Other projects
Involvement in other Medical Activities relating to data entry as required.
Compliance with Company procedures
Agree to comply with all relevant Company procedures. This applies principally to Corporate procedures and those related to the role.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
Experience in data entry
Good written and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal and team working skills
Good IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office packages
Excellent attention to detail
Desirable
Experience with Pharmacovigilance databases.
Medical writing skills
Good time management skills
