Petroleum Reservoir and Economics group position The post holder will be employed in the capacity of Head of Business Development of the Petroleum Reservoir and Economics Group (PREG) at the Fugro Robertson office based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The purpose of the role is to be proactive in identifying and securing business opportunities for PREG’s consultancy services and training.
Also, it involves providing leadership for PREG in the preparation and delivery of promotional projects, preparation of commercial work submissions in the form of tenders and bid submissions, and maintaining effective relationships with clients around the globe as necessary. PREG undertakes evaluations and valuations of oil & gas prospects, fields and companies for clients as well as reservoir studies, and provides petroleum economics services. Business focus areas are: · Valuation Reports, such as, Competent Persons Reports for acquisition purposes and investment fund raising purposes · Field Development Planning, Reservoir Modelling and Reservoir Engineering/ Simulation Studies · Reserves & Resources Reporting – Auditing and Certifications · Economics Courses · Economics Modelling Support · Field Commercialisation and New Ventures Evaluation The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate that they can develop new client relationships and consultancy projects, provide leadership for major promotions, and develop business by having full, up-to-date, technical knowledge and awareness in the above focus areas in order to respond to client queries. KEY TASKS: · To be part of a proactive team of support staff responsible for delivering a high quality customer-focused professional service.
- Work in accordance with Quality, Security and Health and Safety processes. · Be proactive in identifying potential business in IOC and NOC companies · Identify new business opportunities for consultancy services and training · Undertake Sales & Marketing, prepare tenders and bid submissions · Travelling to clients offices anywhere in the world (likely to be focused on Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Euro-Asia) · Providing advice to senior management · Prepare and maintains an up-to-date PREG Capability Statement and Client Data-Base.
