Project Manager
BluePrint Appointments - Belfast

We are currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join the Global Purchasing function of a leading international employer at their Belfast facility.

Duties within this role will include;

Primarily work on EDI enablement projects that will help transform procure to pay processes to Global best practice. These processes will eventually be run in an integrated ERP environment using SAP as the platform

The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to Identify, initiate, plan and lead / manage all aspects of identified / assigned process transformation projects, encompassing

Project team leadership, ensuring accountability for assigned actions, creation of plans workflows, presentations and information as required

Monitor process performance. Establish quality metrics

Manage Projects using Project Plan with deliverables and timelines reviewed at weekly project meetings.

Manage UAT project phases to ensure EDI implementation meets the needs of the business

Manage all issues to close and drive project execution phase to go live

Communicate with all business owners and support functions

Arranging stakeholder meetings as required to monitor and report against critical milestones and deliverables.

Participate (which may include travel) with other global and regional process transformation teams, as appropriate to meet business objectives

Issue regular project communications and consolidated information. Manage communications across the project stream, with all interested parties

Act as the focal point for any queries, issues, and interdependencies

Applicants for this role;

Degree and 3 years job related experience in a challenging business environment

OR

HNC/HND and 5 years relevant experience in a challenging business environment

OR

Substantially more job related experience with progressive responsibility in a challenging business environment

Relevant experience must include:
Project Management to include - experience of Identifying, initiating, planning and leading / managing all aspects of process transformation projects

Willingness to travel 20-30%.

Desirable

Knowledge of EDI including message utilisation, system enablement and onboarding requirements

Experience of working in a manufacturing environment

Fluency in another European Language. English essential, French or German desireable.

Knowledge of Purchasing principles and techniques

6 Sigma experience

Experience of working in an SAP environment

Experience of Sarbanes Oxley requirements

Experience training others in a formal classroom setting

Professional Certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management

Certificate or professional qualification in Project Management

Experience of working remotely
