Our client is a worldwide market leader within their specialist field of freight service solutions. An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Support/Branch Operator to join their busy, vibrant Sheffield based office.
The company operates on a global basis supplying a freight and logistics service to a range of industries. The successful applicant will play a vital support function to a close knitsalesteam, responsible for providing the highest levels of customer service to a varied client base and managing valuable client accounts in absence of account managers. Responding to incoming enquiries, quotations, processing all written and email orders and process invoices, managing the order book with lots of data inputting and co-ordinating with internal departments such as Logistics, Planning and Sales. Negotiating with clients to win orders. Liaising with overseas agents, customers and hauliers. Advising customers of arrival of cargo into the UK. Following order and delivery procedures to ensure deliveries are efficient and on time. Responding to customer queries and resolving complaints when required. Collating data for Management reports. Working in a busy varied role with a high workload. Offering progression and career development into sales account manager role for ambitious individuals.
Need to be enthusiastic, resilient and sales minded.
Previous experience of business to business based Sales Support/Administration, Customer Service and Sales Order Fulfilment.
Experience of dealing with business accounts and being a sole point of contact for clients from the initial order through to delivery of goods.
Computer and administration skills (MS Office inc. Excel ideal).
A strong work ethic, a reliable and flexible attitude.
Used to working within a varied and high work load,sales team driven environment.
