As a Zizzi Chef you will have a genuine passion for food an understanding of Italian cuisine. Using only the finest, freshest, quality ingredients we rely on your expertise in our kitchens to create the authentic food that our customers love.

You will be responsible for running one of the sections within the kitchen while on shift ensuring that quality and hygiene standards are met at all times. You will also have a real drive for excellent menu execution and be confident to be able to talk about food preparation and our menus with both knowledge and excitement to other members of the team.

You’ll either be an experienced chef, currently training as a chef or just completed your training so you’ll have some prior knowledge and experience of food preparation and cooking techniques and skills. You’ll have a good level of communication skills so you can consistently and accurately communicate with your team in the kitchen as well as the waiting staff out on the restaurant floor. Of course you will be proud of the dishes you serve and ensure that they are always cooked to spec. Our restaurants can get very busy so you will need to be highly organised with running a clean section and managing your orders to timescales so our customers can enjoy their experience at Zizzi.

In return for your passion and knowledge of food we’ll give you the relevant training to bring you quickly and knowledgably up to speed with what’s required of you as a section chef with Zizzi - all new joiners undergo a detailed induction course which covers everything you need to know in order to succeed in this role.

We are looking for someone with a kitchen focused work history that is able to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Though mainly a pot wash postion, food prep and assisting the chefs during service will be part of your job description.

The shift are on a weekly rota basis, with shifts totally 16 hours over 5 days.
