With over 40 years of continuous service to the sports retail trade, SGB remains fresh and relevant: produced in both printed and E-zine format (www.sgb-sports.com/ezine). On a monthly basis, our magazine provides interesting articles, alongside key buying and educational information for sports product buyers within Independent and Multiple retailers throughout the UK.
Key responsibilities
The role will involve building relationships with a range of sports brands (large to small) with the remit of helping them to communicate their brand messages to our circulation of sports product/equipment/apparel buyers.
Alongside this you will be responsible for selling and meeting a discussed advertising revenue target, working alongside our editor on editorial ideas and controlling production to ensure our magazine is produced on time.
As part of the role, field sales appointments and international travel will be a necessity, alongside a full driving license.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Telesales and Field sales experience within media/advertising or Sports sector experience (selling product on behalf of brand)
Full driving license
Ability to travel abroad for key trade shows
Desired:
Keen interest in sports
Other information
Office hours are 9-5pm Monday to Thursday, with a 4pm finish on Friday.
