Ensure that all kitchen areas and equipment are kept clean and tidy at all times
Ensure there are clean bin liners for waste disposal at the beginning of each session and ensure all waste is disposed of, and bins thoroughly cleaned.
Ensure all sinks are kept clean and free from grease and food debris.
Ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly before returning to storage.
Ensure all work-surfaces are cleaned thoroughly before and after food preparation as per current legislation and Company Policy.
Ensure correct and safe storage of all food and equipment used during preparation, as per current legislation and Company Policy.
To work within the requirements of the Licensing Laws, Food Hygiene (general) Regulations, Health & Safety at Work Act, Fire Regulations C.O.S.H.H. Regulations plus any others that may affect the business.
Carry out any basic food preparation as required.
To work the desserts section, producing desserts as per Company and Brand specification as and when requested by the Head Chef or another member of the Management Team.
Be aware of both the location and how to use fire fighting and first aid equipment.
To work within all Company rules and achieve at all times the standards required as laid down in this handbook, the house rules and the Health, Safety & Food Hygiene manual.
To carry out all other reasonable requests by the Head Chef and Management Team.
To cover Kitchen Porter responsibilities as required.
