Case Administrator Leading Law Firm City 6 months FTC 25k London
The key parts of this role will include the following:
Administrative support to a team of eight case investigators and one or two partners/senior solicitors who are the case managers.
Each case investigator will have 12 cases, so that is 48 cases in each team of four. The work involves investigation into allegations of misconduct by nurses and midwives.
Using Outlook, Word and the firm's case management system (Legis) and account management system (Videss) - training will provided in relation to Legis and Videss.
Opening new client files using the firm's case management and account management platforms - Legis and Videss.
Ensuring accuracy of information / data on the Legis case management system. Ability to work autonomously and proactively in the updating of case management information.
Updating and data inputting into Excel - comprising monthly status reports on a regular and ad hoc basis.
Liaison with case investigation teams based in Southampton and Oxford.
General team administrative support.
Bundle collation, file management and secretarial support to team members which may include typing and preparing formal letters, email correspondence and telephone communication.
Client and witness liaison tasks - which may include speaking with vulnerable witnesses on occasion to ensure completion of witness statements.
Preparation and finalisation of witness statements - including amendments to be made to statements and documents/exhibit referencing and exhibit collation.
Ability to work with accuracy and with attention to detail.
Ability to work to deadlines, and autonomously, is crucial to this role.
Ability to liaise closely with team members and to ensure that team members are aware of upcoming case specific deadlines is essential.
The role is not a purely secretarial role and nor is it a pure administrative role. It will involve the candidate taking responsibility and working autonomously. It will involve the candidate being able to work as part of a team in a demanding client service environment.
