Thales has an exciing opportunity for a creative and forward thinking individual to join its expanding Engineering team; the role will allow you the flexibility and autonomy to implement your own design ideas and cultivate new ideas.
Primary Purpose of the Role:
Lead a team of Engineering specialists
Provide innovative Technical solutions to enhance CSS support
Promote CSS and Thales products to Customers within the CSS portfolio
Manage key product developments for both Export and Domestic programmes
Key Accountabilities:
Lead a team of Engineering specialists
Ensure workload management is successfully achieved across the team
Ensure development of individuals in line with Thales Performance Development guidelines
Personnel management
Assist in the preparation of quotations for your product area
Provide innovative Technical solutions to enhance CSS support
Develop business cases for SF R&D product development opportunities
Develop extended functionality of current product range into new areas
Through life cost saving development of current product range
By working with Business Development understand Customer operating doctrine to promote product development opportunities
Develop product enhancements
Through life cost saving
Promote CSS and Thales products to Customers within the CSS portfolio
Establish common themes for product sales into current Customer bases
Identify product from across the Thales range that would fit into current CSS Customer base to offer enhanced Customer performance
Manage key product developments for both Export and Domestic programmes
Where applicable work with Programme Management to deliver Customer requirements
Promote cost saving initiatives where possible to maximise CSS profits
Key performance Indicators:
I 2 VCS
Ensure I 2 VCS is adopted by the new surface fleet management contract holder as a major cost saving initiative
Develop the I 2 VCS product to satisfy further platforms. I.E. Submarines, Fleet Auxiliary
DVL
Develop a business case for the adoption of the DVL into export Customers fleets
Promote the DVL into other non sonar platforms through the fleet management provider
