We have an excellent opportunity for someone to work for one of our biggest clients within the Merseyside area, the role is a 3 months import/export shipping administration position working with a well established team. You need to have experience within shipping or logistics ideally to be selected for interview stage, this could be an opportunity for you to progress into a more permanent position with fantastic benefits and salary package offered.
Accurately process import documentation details into the Shipping Application to provide import declarations data.
Experience tracking containers via sea, air and rail
produce statistical reporting.
Analyse systems produced reports to ensure that any data discrepancies are corrected
Provide detailed reports each period on supplier's non-conformance and import license quota issues to Shipping Bureau Services Manager.
Ensure all cargo load details are loaded to Shipping Application within agreed timescales to ensure visibility for the team and that customs clearance can be achieved on all cargo.
Engage with suppliers to provide clear instructions on the businesses requirements for the movement of goods by Sea, Air, Sea-Air and Road.
Identify any data errors created by our nominated agents to Shipping Manager on a daily basis and amend accordingly.
Responsible for the control of Bills of Lading and delivery orders with the shipping lines to obtain release of cargo.
Control and retention of Legal Import documentation and general administration duties
Assist with the creation of data flows from B&M on Supply Chain projects
The right candidate must have previous experience within a similar role as the client has informed it is essential and have the ability to work to tight targets and KPI's. You must have the ability to think fast on your feet and able to communicate well at all levels.
