My client is currently recruiting for a PHP developer for a 1 year fixed term contract. They are looking for PHP developers with various levels of experience to be part of Ireland's leading digital agency. Working on web & mobile applications, digital campaigns and social media integrations for global brands, government agencies and household names, you will work as part of our primary development team based in Belfast.

THE ROLE To analyse customer requirements [including direct contact meetings] and assist with project budgeting and scheduling To liaise with teams/individuals [eg designers, account manager(s)] to develop and refine high-level design concepts To implement application design including data flows, core logic and back-end database integration. To implement presentation layer (eg xHTML, CSS, JS Frameworks), application logic and back-end database structures To maintain and evaluate changes to existing applications (both in-house and 3rd party developments) To work as a team player as part of a development team at all levels and to take responsibility for individual level projects To adhere to in-house standards on coding style eg annotation/indentation, naming conventions, processes and aid the further development of the above, as well as formal standards for accessibility and best practices

EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 year's recent proven experience of web-based/intranet application programming and database design/integration using PHP, MySQL, xHTML, CSS and Javascript Proven experience in producing compliant and accessible websites Experience with implementing OS CMS solutions eg Drupal, Wordpress and Magento, desirable Proven experience of working with administration and customer support to identify issues and formulate solutions to automated processe

EDUCATION AND SKILLS Minimum 2 'A' Levels or equivalent 3rd level education in relevant discipline desirable Proven ability to analyse/develop and maintain web/intranet and extranet sites to company specifications at any point in a project lifecycle Able to interpret and implement a brief within time and budgeting constraints Able to utilise rapid development techniques Able to adapt ideas to meet clients needs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
