We are currently looking for a Jr. Research Analyst to join the Templeton Global Equity Group.

The Jr. Research Analyst will provide research coverage for assigned industries and countries while recommending securities to purchase, sell or hold. The Jr. Research Analyst will be responsible for keeping the Portfolio Managers updated and aware of any news which may impact a holding that falls within the area of coverage.

Specific responsibilities include:
Perform thorough fundamental analysis of a company’s business and financial position by interpreting financial statements, broker reports and other pertinent sources of information.

Conduct independent research by travelling to visit with company management, competitors, customers and other industry contacts.

Compile data from multiple sources and develop detailed financial models on assigned companies.

Provide written and verbal presentations of investment conclusions/recommendations to the team.

Maintain general knowledge of the global investment climate and economic environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.

MBA and/or CFA highly preferred.

Previous equity research experience; ideally on a global or international level.

Buy-side experience strongly preferred.

Strong understanding and passion for equity markets and stocks.

Ability to operate within a disciplined research and portfolio construction process.

Ability to build detailed financial models is required.

Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate financial analysis and investment recommendations.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while actively contributing to team discussions.

Demonstrated analytical abilities displaying a commitment to investment opinions while being open to listening and learning from others.

Ability to multi-task and prioritise various tasks or assignments as necessary.
