The role has come about as the business has changed and evolved to support the growth in managed services for FSA regulated clients. The right candidate will be self-motivated, have a strong interested in IT and have an educational background which demonstrates strengths in numeracy or science and have experience working in a professional environment.

Successful candidates can expect to:
Work closely with and provide support to project managers on infrastructure based projects
Gather, upload and manage project tasks using a bespoke Project Management tool
Ensure project plans are converted into executable task lists
Quality assure task lists for accuracy before entering into a Project Management tool
Follow up with system engineers to ensure tasks are closed in a timely fashion
Ensure procedures are written by engineers for new tasks
Work closely with remote off shore projects team to ensure tasks are being completed to schedule
Upload and schedule daily/weekly technical operational checks
Requesting quotes from multiple suppliers for procurement phase of a project or business as usual requests
Raising purchasing orders and managing deliveries, checking items to ensure they meet orders
Working to troubleshoot any ordering issues
Build and maintain supplier relationships
Gain an understanding of various products and solution options from a sales or project perspective
Become the experts on the various parts, licensing models available for certain key products
Maintain an accurate record of all purchase orders and procurement activities
Provide ad hoc support to other teams as and when required. Key Responsibilities:

Skills and Requirements:
Experience working in a professional environment
2.2 Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience. IT, Maths or Science related.
Good numeracy and logical approach to problems
Good organisation skills, the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and cope with fluctuations in workload
Ability to work under pressure when project managers or service delivery managers require tasks to be performed quickly
Successful at working with technical people and ability to operate in a technical environment without needing to understand technology and how it works
Good time management
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Working with figures and formulas)
Pro-active to follow up on orders and tasks through to their completion
The ability to absorb and learn about new products
A demonstrated flexible and committed work ethic with a drive to continually go beyond the status quo
Build up trust relationship with project and service delivery managers
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
