BWSR have an opportunity for a Manufacturing engineer to work for an international specialist manufacturing company.
You will provide Manufacturing Engineering support for remanufacturing and new components.
- Generate Process Documentation (PD) in compliance with manufacturing requirements and quality certification requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement tooling and fixtures for the processes to achieve desired manufacturing and assembly results.
- Ability to develop and implement production processes and layouts for manufacturing/remanufacturing operations. Ensure that manufacturing engineering best practices are followed.
- Ability to design quality and safety into the process.
- Carry out process capability studies and ensure manufacturing equipment is capable and available.
- Provide continuous improvements on the manufacturing lines and assist with the transition to “Lean” workplace so as to reduce warranty and in process reworks.
- Must be capable of working with and in teams and able to communicate effectively with teams on the shop floor.
- Ability to train product line supervisors and operators on the processes and operating machinery.
- Ability to select capital equipment for new projects and provide manufacturing engineering input for cost reduction including development of new processes for salvage of components and reduction of scrap and rework on the existing processes.
You will have a minimum of HNC in Manufacturing engineering and have worked in a similar role, you will have experience of six sigma tools and processes.
