Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery/Client Management:
- To ensure that all work carried out complies with the firm's standards and procedures, and that the work is within budget and to the expected timeframes
- To ensure the quality of all work produced (including the review of the work of others in the team) and to apply all relevant technical disclosures to client work during planning phase and to ensure all requirements are met (e.g. statutory filing deadlines etc)
- To manage time effectively and prioritize work, to know when to communicate potential issues to Manager, including providing regular progress updates to both Manager and client on work being completed and to ensure that all time is accurately recorded and maintained on a daily basis
- To prepare accurate, timely and detailed management reports, letters of representation, fees and correspondence ready for issue to the client
- To assist with the preparation of tenders by gathering appropriate and accurate information
- To Identify technical and business issues specific to a client, i.e. tax, fraud, risk related issues and suggest solutions to the Manager/Partner
- To recommend additional services of the firm to the Manager/Partner that the client would benefit from receiving
- To liaise with other departments on their involvement and progress with requests
- To develop and maintain positive client relationships using effective, appropriate and timely communication methods
Staff Management:
- To brief staff on work required and check their understanding before allowing them to proceed, to delegate effectively and to supervise work appropriately
- To provide constructive feedback to staff via the PDM and other ongoing appraisal processes as required
- To provide coaching, support and on-the-job training to team members
Self Development:
- To develop the interpersonal skills to be able to deal with a range of professional situations
- To develop the knowledge and skills to be able to use all relevant software packages on a daily basis and in accordance with the firm's procedures
- To act as a role model in terms of completing work and maintaining high standards throughout all work delivered
- To keep all technical knowledge up-to-date and to actively seek to increase personal knowledge and skills on the range of services that the firm can pro
