Our client is an award winning multi-site manufacturing group. They are experiencing a period of controlled headcount growth and as such are keen to appoint a Mechanical Design Technician.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the engineers in product design development, including a combination of CAD activity, hands-on prototyping, testing and PC based work. You will be required to do basic 3D CAD designs and drawings, prototyping assembling of products, conducting mechanical tests, report writing and general engineering support activities. The role includes the coordination of the Mechanical Lab and CMM equipment.

You will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Mechanical BTEC HND.

Essential Criteria includes:
2 years experience in a similar manufacturing role.
Experience with 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
Experience with component / product testing report writing.
Experience with using CMM equipment.
