To provide a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychology service for people within the adult community care pathway and the MDT. Working along the care pathways to ensure that service users are offered the most appropriate clinical service to meet their needs. The post holder will provide highly specialist assessments, formulations and interventions (including neuropsychological assessments)

A key function of the role will be to support the multi-disciplinary community teams in developing a psychological understanding and context for service users and carers. Some assessment and formulation for Inpatient service users is required to support the MDT’s and transition.

The post holder will deliver training and ongoing clinical support to the MDT to work in psychologically minded ways, and support practitioners within the MDT to develop individual care planning. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the Trust and service policies. Provide supervision of specialist, trainee and assistant psychologist. The post holder will propose and implement evidenced based practice, utilising research skills for audit and service developments.
