The vision and plans of the Trust are delivered through robust line management and strong performance management frameworks to ensure accountability and ownership.
The required workforce planning and education, skills and capability planning systems are in place to enable the Trust to meet commissioned plans whilst continuing transformation of the organisation, both strategically and operationally.
Leadership, employee engagement and equality and diversity are given a clear focus to support delivery, culture change and professionalism of the service.
The professionalism of the clinical workforce is secured through integrated working with the College of Paramedics, Health Professions Council and Higher and Further education providers and supports the emerging Careers Framework and new delivery models.
The clinical education, leadership and learning and business support functions of the OE&E Department deliver robust organisational support whilst achieving quality, cost and performance improvements in a sustainable manner.
Structure: Executive Director of Workforce & Strategy
Support the Executive Director of Workforce & Strategy and lead the OE&E Department in transforming the organisations culture through the development of change management capability, culture change and staff engagement programmes and interventions that promote a clinically led, diverse, empowered and value driven Trust.
Develop leadership and management capacity and capability to improve the quality of leadership, efficiency of management and an empowered performance management culture.
Use organisational effectiveness interventions, in collaboration with other Associate Directors, both hard and soft to deliver change programmes including ensuring system alignment and structures that are fit for purpose.
Lead and facilitate the Trusts response to the annual NHS Staff Survey, other surveys and ad hoc temperature checks of the workforce to explore staff views in more depth and drive forward action plans including culture change where required.
Develop and implement a Leadership and Management Development plan in a manner which underpins the Trusts values and strategic direction, ensuring that development needs are identified and opportunities provided which results in the required capabilities and capacity of clinical and clinical leaders and managers across the Trust at all levels.
Embed professional standards and behaviours consistent with the values of the Trust throughout the workforce through education, learning and development activities and programmes, from induction to retirement planning.
Maximise the use of blended learning and learning technologies to ensure that learning is accessible, relevant, flexible and responsive to the needs of the Trust.
Provide strategic leadership to the Community & Commercial Education Team to ensure improved community engagement and commercial income generation opportunities.
Provide strategic leadership to the Trusts approach to Equality & Diversity in policy development, service delivery, patient care and employment practices in partnership with the Associate Director of Human Resources.
Promote best practice in multi-disciplinary working, efficiency and effectiveness of OE&E services, systems, values and behaviours. The Executive Club - 12 months ago
