Key Tasks Product Buying role – assigned specific area (eg Non-Product or a defined area) · Manage the process of Requests for Quotation through to the placement of Purchase Orders · Monitor and manage supplier by tracking progress and performance - (on time delivery, quality, cost etc
Internal Departmental Audits. Participate or lead in Lean Improvement Initiatives Provide export control support
Support all Logistics functions when required (offering capability to provide Supplier updates, Product Change Control etc)

Technical & Professional Skills Some Business experience would be an advantage – preferably in a Manufacturing environment Understanding of Logistics function within Manufacturing Understanding of Lean Sigma or other improvement techniques Proficient in the use of Data Processing tools (eg Excel) Personality & Behaviours Flexible approach to work content Able to work under pressure Ability to learn fast Good communicator and able to work on own and as a team player. An appetite for problem solving skills and a desire to improve performance in all aspects of Supply Chain Management. Able to adopt positive and proactive approaches to process improvements and innovation. Willing to undertake appropriate further education to develop capability (supported with a track record).
Summary Successful applicants will be committed to developing the role within the Manufacturing Logistics functions and be committed to attaining relevant qualifications eg CIPS or IOM level qualifications.
