Harrington Starr is working with a Global Financial Software Vendor who specialise in building core banking, investment banking and portfolio management software for the buy-side community across the globe. They are seeking a Senior Java Developer who has proven with Core Java, J2EE, SOA, Multi threading, Tomcat, Apache and Spring experience to join their Development team in London City.
Due to recent success and growth you will join a well established team of Java, J2EE Developers building Investment and portfolio management software for Hedge Funds and Asset Management firms. You will have direct access to portfolio managers where you will put together requirements for Greenfield and Brownfield projects. Designing and development specifications to then code using Core Java, J2EE, EJB2/3 working on a Spring and Hibernate framework. Extensive knowledge of SQL and MYSQL database experience will also be essential.
Key Technical Requirements: Experience in Core Java Development Experience in J2EE Technologies and Development Experience with EJB version 2 or 3 Strong experience with Multi Threading Extensive experience of OOP/OOD Experience with Spring and Hibernate Any knowledge of the financial services industry (Fixed Income, Commodities, FX, Equities, Derivatives, Options, Futures) Experience of the full development lifecycle.
