Salary: £19,411 - £20,559 (with potential progression to £22,475)

You will provide technical support for research, teaching and demonstration mainly in the area of crop production. You will establish, maintain, sample and harvest field plots to determine crop growth, development and yield. You will also take a leading role in the operation and day to day maintenance of the anaerobic digester facility at Cockle Park with support from the farm manager and the technical team. You should have an HNC/HND in a relevant subject area equivalent experience. You will be competent at operating and basic maintenance of, agricultural machinery and be capable of carrying out laboratory work by following protocols. You must be able to organise and manage your own workload and deliver high quality results. Accuracy, dependability and precision are important in all tasks. You will be working with a wide range of students and staff, so understanding the values and perspectives of others will be important.
The post will be primarily based at Cockle Park but may also require work at other AFRD locations when required. A current driving licence is essential.
