Responsibilities:
To service CPS equipment and maintain associated paperwork in line with CPS and Client Company policies, procedures and systems, statutory regulations and good industry practice.
The Workshop Technician is responsible for ensuring that equipment is serviced and maintained to an acceptable standard as defined by the quality management system. The role is measured by the accurate fulfilment of job specific processes and the subsequent performance of the equipment.
Skills/Experience:
Essential:
- Strong relevant experience in a workshop environment.
- Completed forklift, manual handling and crane operation training.
- Demonstrated an ability to work in a team environment, as well as an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems.
- Demonstrated basic keyboard and/or computer skills.
- Must be able to understand technical drawings and work from technical data books.
- Must have a good understanding of downhole oilfield equipment.
Preferred:
- Ideally would possess a good understanding of mechanical and hydraulic tools, rotary connections and oilfield sealing systems.
- Knowledge of Optical sensing systems or possessing a telecommunication background would be a strong advantage.
- Previous workshop experience with completion equipment.
