Position: Area Sales Manager Location: South (London) Salary: Negotiable The Company: My client is an international leading manufacturer of sensors, sensor solutions, and instrumentation products. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology positioning to both business and technical users. The Area Sales Manager must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
The Area Sales Manager must be able to respond to functional and technical elements of request for quote. The Role: • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations • Provide technical support for customers and answering technical questions • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFQ • Analyze market and customer needs with respect to several alternate solutions using our products • Responsible for pro-actively promoting the products and managing the technical evaluation stage of the sales process • Maintain current knowledge of competitive products and system characteristics, including knowledge of local competitive pricing • Provide full services for the customer after the sale and during installation to ensure complete satisfaction and to promote future business. Job site visits with customers, service co-ordination and occasional factory visits to help sell and execute specific products or projects • Preparation of documents in order to list our products at end-users and sub-contractors Requirements: • 5 years minimum experience in direct sales activity to specific industries within instrumentation – pressure, level, temperature • Technical qualification essential – experience may be considered • Flexible work approach, self-motivated and able to work without intensive supervision. Must be able to interact with the extended team • 4 days a week in sales field – 1 home office – minimum 4 calls per day • Customer, OEM and end user oriented, quality conscious, well organised and results oriented • Open, honest and straight forward in communication and action • SAP/CRM knowledge is a distinct advantage • Strong experience within Food & Beverage sector is a distinct advantage - OEM experience is a must • Key Skills Excellent technical skills in sale and promotion of product • Experience: 5 – 10 years within a technical sales environment • Specialisation: Instrumentation – currently selling with instrumentation field • Industry: Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Water • Qualification: Technical qualification required The Benefits: Competitive basic, pension, private health, company car, home office set up To Apply: Please send your CV on a completely confidential basis to James Russell at Key Recruitment UK Ltd.
