We are seeking a cheerful, enthusiastic person to join our team, to cover maternity leave. The role will be based at our Leith office in Edinburgh and will incorporate a wide range of administration and book-keeping duties as well as support to senior managers.
The successful candidate will be a well organised, excellent communicator, conscientious, reliable and able to work under pressure.
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years experience in office administration and book-keeping, with a working knowledge of sales, purchase and nominal ledgers and appropriate computer skills.
Typical duties will include:
Counting daily cash
Payment posting to sales ledger
Reconciliation of monthly accounts
Full payment run at month end
Preparation of quarterly VAT return
Responding to ad hoc enquiries
A permanent position may be available at the end of the contract period.
